O master of the weather underground, what do you see as chances for a possible severe event on Tuesday/Wednesday with the next front coming in? Slim? Marginal? Get over it? Stop pestering me?

How desperate AM I for some kick-a$$ weather? Is this any way for a sane person to act the first day of the year?

They need to make a special kind of valium for severe weather weenies. :crazy-eye

Gulf ridging will likely be a hinderance to any severe weather this week. Heavy rainfall looks like a bigger threat, although the main brunt will be to our north over N TX and OK. If we get enough jet energy this far south, then severe storms would be possible with the frontal passage this week (still not too confident when that will be). However the jet looks to remain to the north so there will be little dynamical support for severe weather at least as of now.

Overrunning event appears in the making Thurs and Fri as a modified arctic air mass moves across the region. Could see some good elevated storms with that event, but the frontal position will determine how much we get.

Don't worry severe weather season is just around the corner, but winter still has a couple more shots for sure.

Oh fine then. Thanks for the info. Guess I'll sit here and drool over my last (failed) chase pics I just got back. Guess this was from the event in November? Ah well, at least it's SOMETHING.
