Yes I should see something, hummmmm maybe thunder.
SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE - 347 AM
NEW TORNADO WATCH ISSUED FOR NORTH AND WESTERN ALABAMA UNTIL 8AM CST
CURRENT WARNINGS
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING MARION CO UNTIL 415AM
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FRANKLIN CO UNTIL 415AM
A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is entering West Alabama at this hour. The strongest storms are over Franklin and Marion Counties were a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect. A strong storm over Noxubee County Mississippi has prompted a tornado warning for that county. This cell will move into Lamar County just after 4 a.m.
Wind shear profiles this morning are very strong and supportive of rotating sections within the line of storms. This means that any storm is capable of producing a tornado or wind damage. Residents of North Alabama should be alert as this line passes their area.
MORNING FORECAST DISCUSSION - by James Spann
The stage is set for a line of strong to severe thunderstorms to sweep across Alabama this morning. Based on projected wind profiles, some of the storms in the line could produce damaging straight line winds, and a few isolated tornadoes are not out of the question. And, needless to say, the ground is still saturated and heavy rain with the storms could produce some flooding problems. Most of the storms should move east of Alabama by midday, and the clearing process will begin during the afternoon as drier air moves in.
Tuesday - 12/07
Windy with thunderstorms during the morning. Some severe storms are possible with heavy rain.
High: 71
Wind: SW 15-30 mph Sun Percentage: 20% Hours Of Rain: 4
Rain Potential: 1.50" Severe Weather Threat: Slight
