Looked at my daytimer where I write down everything that I have to do during the day and at night. I am booked solid from now until after New Year's Eve with things to do. Yeah I do have a free night here and there - but guess what - that's when I have to do and finish my Christmas shopping.

I just don't see where folks have sooo much time to spend on the computer, message boards and etc. Its 11 p.m. Sunday night and I finally got time to sit down and make a few posts. Makes me wonder where folks on other weather message boards who post all day and all night have as a life.

I like it here at Wildonweather - its a friendly board - that folks can drop by - make a post and not be lost in senseless posts about board wars, bannings and stupid stuff. Life is too damn short to sit in front of a computer and miss time with husbands/wives/significant others and kids. I was gone for 3 whole days and I had the best time with my family. We had $250 to spend on this trip because I just went back to work and we had a blast - trying to find ways to save money and still do it all - and we did it too. Saw my daugther iceskate and have some great pictures of her (9 years old) and her dad tracking around the rink. These were Kodak moments - ones that won't last much longer because she's growing up so fast.

Drove over to Shreveport LA - checked out the casinos to return to at a later date with hubby on a weekend adult exercusion. Drove to Natchitohes,LA and had some meat pies and took in the festival of lights. All it cost us was a tank of gas and a great time of being together as a family.

Sorry for the long-winded post - but I after a long and tormented year I have had in all aspects of my life - I realized there is a time and place for everything. This website - WILDONWEATHER is my hobby. Its not my life - that's right now is my family and my job. Am I upset if this site isn't the biggest and most popular? No I am not because first and foremost - weather is my hobby - I would 9 times out 10 rather experience the weather up close and in person - then sit behind a computer screen and discuss it and never look out the window or get out and experience it when the conditions are safe. Yeah I love coming on here and making posts on what I experienced and I love hearing WOW members share all their experiences, conditions and etc...that's why WOW is here - and yeah I know most folks come here to wear a crown for the arcade games they OWN.

Okay enough of my rant and soapbox. Wildonweather is here to stay - no matter if only one member posts and 290 members post.
