Stormy I have dialup and the service is excellent. I have called them several times on different issues and they have always been very helpful. When I got my new PC - they helped me get connected and setup my email. This for only $10.95 a month. Its great when you can get good service and they help you out. I'm glad you got your problems corrected.

Hi Stormy

I just recently went to BellSouth DSL Xtreme. I did not want to use a wireless system so I got the 2wire system. I had problems in the very beginning but once got everything corrected - I have had no problems since then. I like there support - I gave them A+. I also decided to use their HomeNetworking Plus - that way I have their professional firewall plus I have my Nortons NIS along with it. I am a happy person now :)

Well I'm in the same computer hell now as Stormy was. Hyperlinks sometimes work, sometimes don't. Done a system restore to Saturday, which was the last time it worked right, nothing changed, the message I got saying no files had changed. Uh, YES SOMETHING HAS. Done a virus scan (thanks to a nice little trojan I got on Sunday) but from what I've read it can't remove a program that is actually in use, which I think it is, I think it's one of my .dll files. Did chkdsk (that took forever), defrag, disk cleanup. Have just emailed Dell and am now sitting here wanting to smash the crap out of this machine.

I did get a response back from my IP for some of the issues, but the rest they said was Dell's problem. I now KNOW it is something to do with IE since I'm using Netscape now and having NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. So I can survive like this until these storms pass and I can devote some more attention to it.
