Halloween Decorations

How many of you decorate your porches or yards for Halloween? Being that I have a 9 year old - she likes doing this type of stuff - I am going to do it this evening. I got an old caulderon pot from my mom and I am going to put it in my front yard with tombstones I made all around it with pumpkins and wood decorations hanging off my porch. Once I get all the decorations done - I will post the pictures here for everyone to see. I go crazy for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations on my porch and yard!!!!!

I go all out on my porch for Halloween...I make it a haunted pourch...I get this old heavy dark navy fabirc and I hang it all around the porch closing it in then I just go nuts with the decorations in side of it...the kids/parents just love it! I usually don't get it up till closer to Halloween cause I've had the misfortune of cold fronts coming through while I was in the middle of it causing havoc and knocking stuff down, lol

I'm actually dressing up this year and going with my 14 year old niece around the neighborhood....mom is making the costumes since I can't stich or sew for my life...I'm going as a devil...got this sparkly sequined material...

I'll post pictures as well! I love decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas...it's just so festive and fun!

we decorate for Halloween with a skelton and spider webs , glow in the dark eyes and all kinds of stuff. this is a project for the kids and I really dont have a say in it. Christmas I go all out this is my time, and I will start decorating in early Nov, right after Halloween comes down. I decorate anything and everything in sight. I love Christmas

That's my plan this year stormy is to start decorating right after Halloween because I have so much stuff and I want to enjoy it. Last year I finished the week before Christmas and started taking it down around New Year's. I too love Christmas and have 5 trees to decorate this year.

I love to decorate for halloween...sad to say more so then christmas..We do the front porch..gotta do something will all that stuff they make at school.

Going to do my Halloween decorating today!!! I found some of my stuff - I organized everything last year and put in new boxes and didn't label anything - now I have to go thru the boxes LOL.

Just hope the weather stays cool down here - I want cool weather during Halloween.

I am curious how many of you have trick-treaters that come to your house for candy? For the last couple of years - we have taken Chasity to my parents and sister's house and never stayed home. Since she hangs out with so many of the neigbhorhood kids we are going to stay home this year and give out candy.

I know I read an article in the paper yesterday that alot of folks are upset that Halloween is on a Sunday and they aren't going to let their kids trick or treat because of the Holy Sabbath. I look at it this way - its not work - it spending time with your family doing family stuff.

I agree ticka, its family time. The kids get to dress up, they get candy which they love, and you get to see all the neighborhood kids. I have fun dressing my kids up and i dress up too. the kids also have fun decorating the yard and they even get along doing this, ( which they are always fighting). People always have to complain about something.
