I personally boted to allow gay marriage. Whom are they hurting? Except: The word "marriage"= union between man and woman.

They should have just as much right to be as miserable as everyone else! :D

I'm kinda on the fence on this one. I see no problem if they want to be married (be it happily or otherwise) but I can understand alot of folks taking issue with the word "marriage". But "civil union", that just has no heart to it, in my opinion.

Of course, I'm so liberal it ain't funny. I've got a gay brother in law whom I adore and always have even BEFORE he came out to the entire family (although some of us knew way before hand). My husband's parents have basically ostracized him from all family functions by telling him his partner is NOT welcome at holidays, etc. They use religion as their excuse for losing a vital and wonderful part of their family. Wrong wrong wrong. My husband still hasn't come to grips with having a gay brother, which is just sad, but he still loves him no matter what.

For God's sake, we're all human beings and deserve to be treated with respect, love and dignity.....

ok, enough of my rant

Well said!!!!!! Your family is your family right or wrong...all they are entitled to is LOVE!!! I guess I would consider LOVE a minimum! You should not judge, or if you do, make sure you look in your own closet first! :(

I can't look in my own closet. Afraid to open the door. Last time I did, all these skeletons fell out on the floor-what a mess............... :D

We all have skeltons in our closet, i know my family has few to say the least. i dont have a problem with gay marriages. what ever floats ur boat, is what i say. i was on the qm2 in may and at our table were 2 gay guys, i spent most of my time with them. we had a ball and we stay in contact. who am i to judge them, that is Gods place. thats funny chic they should be as miserable as any married ppl. Chris complained to me the whole trip about his partner. String ray u r right ur husbands parents r missing out. we all r different and we all have something wrong, we should except ppl as they r.

I guess its their right to be with whom they please. Its true God is the judge and we will all find out how God see's it. One day we will be in front of the great white throne of judgement! its going to be a sad day for some & happy for those who make it. My husbands stepdad is gay, he is still married to his mom while having relationships with men, yes me & my husband love him but not the life he lives. I for one disagree with same sex marriages. This is my opinion. I rather wake up next to a man then a woman anyday. I don't believe your born that way either. This is all about choices. I see this world going in the wrong direction everyday. Thanks God Jesus is my savior. :)
