For those of us that didn't make it the early part of the year or whatever...just got this in an email from C.E.R.T.:
The Greater Houston Heights Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is pleased to offer FREE Sky Warn training to be given by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The purpose of this training is to help ordinary citizens become proficient at recognizing dangerous weather situations, assist planning for and survival of weather emergencies and aid family and neighbors in mediating the difficult aftermath. A certificate of completion will be provided. The course will be offered at the Holy Trinity Reformed Episcopal Church at 211 Byrne St (corner of Byrne and Beauchamp) in the Woodland Heights. Class requires no materials nor prerequisites and will run from 6:30 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 10. Seating is limited, so please RSVP to jdj@advancedbb.com or by fax at 866-431-2319. Please specify your name, email address and phone number in your RSVP. See you there!
Note: This training is free and open to the public. RSVP required.
I AM going even though I've attended previous years. Those of you that can make it, please do so and send in your rsvp. :shakehands:
