Camping....

Well my family has another hobby. We purchased a pop-up camper and went camping for the first time this weekend to Lake Livingston. Stayed at Northshore RV Resort - it is a really nice place. Lots of swimming, fishing and just sitting around the campsite talking and having fun! Place is pet friendly so Stevie had a blast. Best of all its only 1 1/2 hours from our house!! We liked it so much - we are going again in two weeks!

I just discovered that Sam Houston National Forest includes a piece on Lake Livingston as well as Lake Conroe - by chance did you check out facilities there?

I was just introduced to 3M "Ultrathron" 12 hour insect repellant, remembering the reputedly dive bomber sized mosquitos, what did you find in that regard?


Did you find a 'blackberry readable' weather graphic you could 'bookmark' on your BB?

looks like Houston NWS had several as 'gif' files ...which might mean bookmark once still valid and current down the road. As an example the 2008 links gif files in the WOW MJO thread were still valid when this years invests came through.

cool. haven't been camping in years. used to go all the time and had a blast. so glad that you had fun and found a good place that's close by. and that pop up could come in handy if you had to evacuate too. but lets hope you never ever have to use it for that. only fun fun!

I've found gif images of specific time local radar, what did you find?
