Did anyone here in Houston watch Dr. Neil Frank on Channel 11 weather at 10:00 p.m. - he was giving his usual weather update on Ivan and he said that the path of Ivan will go close to Jamacia and then onward to Cuba - possibly the western tip and then once Ivan gets to Cuba - he could possibly go to Florida as predicted, north to New Orleans and etc and yes as I qoute Dr Neil Frank it could go west. He said by this weekend we will not be protected from Ivan like we are right now with the frontal boundary and there is a possiblity that Ivan could go west! He gave the example of Gilbert. Folks, I don't know about you - but if there is anyone I do trust on forecasting hurricanes its Dr. Neil Frank former head of the NHC center.
I would like to hear everyone else's thoughts and comments on this !!!!!

I saw it and normally don't watch that channel. Have no idea why I had it on. Made me stop typing for a minute, for sure.

Well I just replied about this on the Ivan thread... as far west as New Orleans huh? Now I'm really gonna be watching Ivan like a hawk... as if I wasn't already! Hey, do y'all have a couch I can take naps on? I think I'm gonna be spending a lot more time with y'all here in the next few days and my behind is getting numb as it is! ....... YIKES!!!

Well according to mptexxas with the reply from above - there was a glitch and Dr Neil didn't have enough time to say that he agrees with the NHC track and that's where Ivan is headed.
You know us weather geeks - we latch on to their every word. I appreciate the clarification of this - now I can go back to supporting and providing information for our members in Florida - with no worries for us in Texas.

Blah, feel half dead this morning.....glad we got confirmation on what Neil Frank DIDN'T say but meant to, although I wasn't exactly gonna freak yet. As I told Ticka on the phone last night, it did kinda raise the hairs on my neck like someone else mentioned....
Lyn, you crack me up about the studying. I've been going through the same thing, TRYING to keep up with homework and this, feel like my brain is gonna explode!!!
Cali, we DO have a couch somewhere around here but you best not leave any crumbs on it. I've caught people catching a few zzz's there and then watching the board while eating Ruffles, didn't think I'd EVER that vacuumed up.
You'll usually find me on there most of the day but it's got those nice recliners built on so you can just lay back and collapse when need be!!!
