I am ready as far as supplies go. Mentally nope.

I have the major stuff ready, but I'm adding as I go and probably will keep adding until we are threatened. Just last week Kroger had Duracell batteries on sale for 2.99, so I got some and had a 1.00 off coupon. I'm going to start filling a couple of gas cans each payday. I need it anyway to mow, so, it won't go to waste.

No, but the fact that I'm not 'on the Gulf Coast' anymore.

Another non-trivial thing is by necessity having to rebuild the roof. Worst winds are a rare tornadoes or rare ex-hurricanes turned to tropical storm. Isabel for example put the Annapolis downtown at the docks under 6’ of high tide storm surge, same at Baltimore Harbor.

I'm interested in "The Climatology" of the weather, particularly after a cold and snowy winter [even on the coast] and the transition from an "El Nino" to a "La Nina" cycle.

I'm like you ticka, prepared as I can be. But not mentally ready to potentially go thru this again.

And since I'd just finished updating my home inventory for my insurance and hadn't backed it up before it crashed :firedevil: have to get working on that again.

If anyone needs to have their generator checked out, I can give you the name of someone who will come to your house and thoroughly check it. The fee is very small, and worth every penny. He and his wife came to my house and a friend's house and gave my generator a once over. Everything is fine, so I have peace of mind that my generator will start if needed.

PM me for the info if interested!

Only way to explain my, um, toys to the wife........

Wife (upon finding ammo for toy while closet): don't tell me you need all this for hunting too?
MuNkIe: No, not really.
Wife: Then what the hell are you going to use it for?
MuNkIe: Zombies
