Sewing

Ok, yeah, my hands aren't exactly great but I saw a rather inexpensive sewing machine last week at Walmart and almost bought it. Just to do simple stuff, curtains, pillows, holiday things (like I need anymore decorations).

Does anyone here sew? I mean like regularly? Would I be able to teach myself the basics and do it? The more exercise (within limits) my joints get the better, and they have such incredible fabric for halloween out now, it's killing me not to try.

I got an sewing machine off Ebay to do simple stuff but it was so dang complicated to thread and load the bobbin that I gave it away for a community garage sale. Both Donny and me tried to make it work and it never would. Make sure if you get one - read the instructions first and see how complicated that procedure is on the machine.

I am going to try to find me an old Singer sewing machine - my mom has one of those and its a breeze to work.
