Where are you going on summer vacation 2008?

We are going to the casino one night in June and then a weekend at Sam Rayburn if Donny doesn't have to work.

North Carolina to see Meow and JohnWow. July 1-5. Cannot wait. Gonna spend 4th of July at his dad's lakehouse on Lake Norman. Fireworks, boats, fishing, food-me is gonna have a blast.

How was your trip Suzi? I bet North Carolina is nice this time of the year.
It was a blast. Lots of running and doing, but she was nice enough to remember that I needed some rest in between sightseeing. We took a catamaran out on Lake Norman and got to see all the homes owned by NASCAR drivers and even one that use to be owned by Burt Reynolds.

Went up to the mountains, and if I remember correctly, aren't they part of the smokies or blue ridge? Me is not so good with geography. Regardless, there was a lovely haze or coloring over them and it made me think of one of those.

Duckie, I had a blast last week in Galveston, even though the chase was a bust. I get so relaxed going down there. Went pretty late to Pier 61, went up on the observation deck and watched people fish, but not catch anything! I'm so jealous of you!

We went three weeks ago. Spent all day Saturday there - got up early and drove out to the cabins my sisters were staying at...even took Stevie.

Spent from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the water - either on the boats or swimming. Had a blast - drove back home that evening. I got so sunburned it was horrible. But I survived and we already planning on going back next year for the 3 whole days with all the family. Rode my first jet-ski (waverunner) - the young man driving - one of my nephews friends took me. I wonder if his hearing ever returned???? LOL

Donny - now wants a boat. It was nice riding in my brother-in-laws.
