has anyone here ever been in a flood? well its not fun and now i know why. my friend has lost her shop and her car, my engine light is on and the dealer said it may have to dry out. i waded in water waist deep, with 8 little kids and 1 older, who helped alot. it came so fast that if u had told me a week ago that this would happen, i would have thought u were on something. what an experience.

I have been stuck in a flood too. Its not fun. Really a very scary situation. I am just glad you are okay and all the folks you were with made it to safety. Property can be replaced but not lives.

Your right ticka1 its not fun. Hurricane floyd did some damage in one city they were forced out of their business. I'm glad I own renters insurance. Some of the people didn't have any. What a shame. Really its cheap. Mine is only $23.00 a month. You can't beat that.

Floods, um here in Houston? Uh, yeah been through a few. Most memorable, Allison (obviously) and the flood of October 1994, 2 days after we bought this house.
Finally got scared enough to buy flood insurance this year. Cost a whopping 325.00 a year, such a deal.

According to what I heard and read this morning, Dallas got between 8" and 13.5" inches from about 5:00 last night on. Roads were flooded, etc. Will check skywarn for specific reports.

Keep us updated Stingray! Wonder if all that rain will move down to the Houston area? I guess time will tell.

Honestly, we could USE some of that rain here, but for all the hullabaloo all week about our "wet week" I've yet to see more than MAYBE .20". With that front stalled up there, I don't see any of it really impacting us at all.
