Galveston Co. email alerts

I just signed up for this, not sure how well it works, but it's for email alerts from the Galveston Co. OEM. It may be new has anyone else signed up or used this?

I signed up but no, I haven't received anything yet. If and when I do, I'll let ya'll know if it worked and was worth it.

Just thought since hurricane season has begun that I'd bump this if we've got any Galveston Co. newbies on the board.

And I will report that I have been receiving emails from the Galveston Co. OEM on C.E.R.T. training; hurricane prep meetings etc. Luckily haven't had to receive any weather related alerts.

Take the CERT training if you have the time for it. It's pretty long (8 weeks or more maybe?) but well worth it.
Also, as always, the Red Cross can always use more bodies!
