Stormy, see the "L" in the GOM? That's where THIS particular MODEL says that Frances will be as of 9/8.....that's what that MODEL says. Did I mention it was the GFS MODEL??????????????

hey thanks stingray, learn something new everyday. I like where GfS model said its going. but i have heard that the GFS is not that good of a model. How accurate is the GFS model?

Honestly, he is one of the better ones. He posted that model just to show how bizarre the models could get, not actually saying he believed any of it, in fact said the model itself was in la-la land. I have some faith in him, but I don't know what his credentials are degree wise, so I have some reservations. I really like Wes Hohenstein, talked to him a few times via email. He has an actual meteorology degree vs. the "broadcast meteorology" degree you can virtually get online. Your opinion?

I interned at KHOU for 2 years including the trials of Allison. Dan is a highly qualfied meteeorologist, who does what any good meteorologist does, and looks at everything first before making any forecast. He works directly under Neil Frank, who is a *** (any word you want) and when not doing OCM, keeps the radar and computer equipment running. That is a job in itself.

Thanks for the post Jeff. I have always like Dan Meador. That's neat that u interned for them for two years. I always wonder if an OCM met has a real degree or not. Good to know.
