Ok, my question. I know that La Nina and El Nino affect our weather and the formation and intensity of hurricanes, but I never can keep it straight which is which. So is this good or bad for us this hurricane season????

I've heard people saying 'la nina in 1-3 months' (and they've been saying that pretty much since February...)

Now, I found this.

• Recent trends in surface and subsurface ocean temperatures indicates that ENSO-neutral conditions are likely to continue during the next 3 months.

Well I hear several things - its just who you want to follow. I think we will just have to sit back and wait. I'm praying as each day of the season passes - we don't get anything here along the Texas gulf coast.

I'm beginning to think you're right Ticka. I did some further digging and found that apparently this is the same or very similar pattern that was out there in 2005. So who knows. Sometimes I think it's better to just wait and see and be prepared for whatever comes.
