Storms over Houston 5/10/07

What a lightning storm this was tonight. Its been raining here since about 10:30 p.m. and its still raining/wind/thunder and lightning. Looks like a training situation has setup over Houston - storms developing on the west side and moving across Houston - straight down I-10.

We were right smack dab in the middle of it on 59 and 288 last night...the lightning was incredible! It blinded you it was so bright and it really rained...

Here's a shot I took of some of the lightning just as it struck behind Minute Maid Park from inside the car...

Just an incredible storm! Was glad we made it out of it unscathed...

Thanks! I'm still kicking myself that I didn't start filming before that because there was some awesome lightning going behind the Downtown buildings...and even when were were coming down from Montgomery County there was some lightning crawling across the sky...it really was something spectacular to see from inside the car...
