Areas south of I-1-, looks like it's our turn this time. Just got this from Jeff:

"Next round of thunderstorms rapidly approaching from the SW.

Warnings are in effect for Jackson and Wharton counties where strong supercell thunderstorm is moving E along the US 59 corridor. Per meso analysis, air mass south of I-10 remains unstable given CAPE of 200-2500 J/kg. Thunderstorms continue to fire along stalled outflow boundary from early morning MCS and train ENE to NE across the US 59 corridor.

Last batch that moved through dropped .50 to 1.25 inches across the central portions of Harris County and the next round should impact areas already hit by the last round.

Severe threat may very well increase over Fort Bend, Matagorda, Brazoria, Harris, and Galveston counties through late morning as current supercells evolve into bow echoes and race eastward. Wind damage threat will likely increase especially over Fort Bend and SW Harris into Galveston and Brazoria counties where bookend vortex may develop within northern supercell over N Wharton County. Such vortexes also tend to spin up weak tornadoes along the leading edge of the gust front. However I believe these storms are slightly elevated above the morning MCS cold pool sitting along the coast and this should keep the tornado threat slight. Should convection become surface based the tornado threat would increase."
