The City of Pearland has identified about 300 Louisiana evacuees in Pearland hotels/motels. It has come to our attention that some evacuees are also staying in private homes with Pearland friends and family. If you know of a Louisiana evacuee, please let them know that they can call the Pearland Emergency Operations Center at 281-652-1954 for updates on shelters, donations, food & water, public information, transportation, etc.
They may also go to www.cityofpearland.com for information. Free PC use is available at the Pearland Library, 3523 Liberty Dr. in Pearland.
Meals are being served to evacuees at the Knapp Building in Pearland, 2425 S. Grand from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at least through next Tuesday.
