I tried looking for this information last night and guess I wasn't doing something right - but I was curious as to which tropical system received the most written advisoris during its lifespan in the Atlantic?

Well, good question. Here are the 4 longest lasting storms in the record (in days):

1 AL031899 - 28.00
2 AL141971 GINGER 27.25
3 AL201969 INGA 24.75
4 AL122002 KYLE 22.00

Obviously, no advisories were written on the 1899 storm. So I assume Ginger holds the record. If I get some free time I'll take a look in the storm files.
