Junior Dragster Racing

Well Chasity went racing again today. She did great - had four time trials and went out in the first round of elimination and then got in the consolation race - broke out - which means she went faster the she was suppose too and lost - we all had a blast. Got sunburned and everyone came home and took a nap.

How fast do the junior dragsters go? Sounds like a really expensive hobby!

She runs a 12.90 in the 1/8 mile Chic - which usually means she runs about 50 mph. Since she is only 9 years old - that's the class she is in right now. When she turns 10 in July - she will get to move up into the 8.90 class - which means she can go up to 75 mph.

Well we got a starter junior dragster by trading a Kawasaki Mule for it. One thing that costs in the fuel and the entrance fees. Donny(hubby) does all the repairs and painting himself.

But I can tell u - it can be very expensive if you want top of the line stuff. Hopefully, we can sell her 12.90 car this summer and purchase her a 8.90 car. But I can tell you this - its a blast - something for her to do - its a family thing.
