Anyone else up watching the storms coming from the west around San Antonio? They look so nasty...if they hold together I wouldn't be surprised I'm going to experience some bad weather early in the morning...will be hitting me first before anyone else...

Oh and Texas looks like it's covered in crime scene tape with all the yellow Severe Thunderstorm Watch boxes...lol...new one was just issued west of me...w

I just got home from Galveston. Man the sky is full of lightning to the north!!! The closer we got home to Baytown - the more the lightnining surronded us. Looks like the most serious is right about I-10 - don't know if it will move south - if it does -its going to be a dousy of a storm.

Keeping an eye on it with my Level3.

Flash Flood Watch was just issued...

The front seems to have gone stationary and the storms are just forming and lining up on it...I see more storms after the one that is fixing to slam in here...

Going to be a busy, busy night....stay safe everyone!!!

Same to you Lynndy - you stay safe. We had to bolt of lightning hit right behind the house - still checking out some of the stuff in the garages to make sure nothing was damaged or any fires started. Looks like I'm gonna get hammered again in about 1 to 2hours - the stuff that just left you.

Stay safe and post here.

Gina - how are things in Friendswood?

Well we got hammered bad. Around 11:00 p.m. the wind started blowing with thunder and lightning - the electricity was flickering on and off. Got my weather radio out and listen - then found the flashlites and lantern. Finally at 11:30 the power went out for good - meanwhile the rain was coming down and wind was blowing - it had to be over 30 mph gusts. Finally the storms pasted about 1 hour later - but still no power. Power finally came back on at 1:30 a.m. - going out and surveying the damage this morning.

Local news said we are going to have another round this evening.

Ticka, Lynndy -

Glad you all made it thru those storms last night. Was watching it via the Level 3 - saw the one bow echo - but also saw the rotation(for a lack of better words) around that area. Then Ticka - I saw your area get nailed! I wanted to save it but got an error and MS shut that app down - ohh well! Glad everyone is fine.

Jim

Happy Memorial day to all.

Man oh man were those some storms last night. Hit around 9:30 and the lights went out as soon as it hit. And they stayed out for 6 hours...we couldn't go to sleep cause it got so hot, and we nearly cried when they came back on around 4am, lol.

The only damage that I can see is our big fig tree got snapped in half at the bottom.

There was a wind gust in town clocked at 68mph by a trained weather spotter, so that explains why the tree got snapped.

The lightning was awesome! We sat in the bedroom and watch it out the window as the storm progressed. Very electrical storm.

I just hope if we have another round this afternoon they aren't as severe as those were last night...
