Anyone else here in SE Texas getting any of this nasty weather yet? It's pouring down here, some thunder, but man I looked at the radar and what is headed our way to the west looks very nasty with a capital N! Keep safe everyone!

YEs Lynndy I am watching it very close. Was going to go chasing - but I think its turned a little too severe for me to be chasing alone. So I'm just gonna watch this time.
Went outside and took some pictures to the East - the rain, thunder and lightning haven't made it here in Mont Belveiu yet - but its coming.
Keep us updated on things down in your area Lynndy!

It's getting VERY dark here...and the thunder is getting louder...from the looks of the radar it is right on the Wharton/Matagorda county line, moving this way....will take pictures when it starts to blow through...I'm hoping the lights don't go out cause I've got a big dinner to cook...and please, please let there be no tornadoes....

We've had a lot of wind and rain on the north side of Baytown, and the latest weather update from channel 2 news says more is headed this way.

Just a FYI to everyone - I heard on the KHOU site that the NWS radar was knocked out and is out of service. Go to the Lake Charles LA NWS radar and you will have to zoom in on this area.
I hope they get it fixed. Looks like more is coming in from the West Central Texas area - time will tell. Will it be a LONG night for us here.
Worst seems to have moved through Mont Belvieu/Baytwon area - finally some rain to break this drought. Hopefully it will help my garden out and make it start growing again.

Glad the rain was not so hard that it didn't crush your garden!!

Well that was an interesting evening last night....storm totally knocked out my internet all night, frustrated me to no end, and put me in a panic cause I have an online exam today, lol, but thankfully it's come back on...
Wild ride for all of us yesterday evening...I went out and sat on the pourch before it blew threw, saw some very interesting cloud formations...
One of the more surreal parts was when I was standing out there, it got still, very quiet, and off in the distance I could hear this low hum, and I thought it was raining coming, but instead it was wind, very strong wind...blew branches off the trees and I could hear stuff falling off in the distance...the intensity of the winds in those storms always surprises me...
Poured down for about an hour...very vivid lightning....never lost power though, just had some flickers...but we needed the rain, and we got it, lol
I took some pictures of the storms as they were coming in so I'll attach them to this message....

Damaging bow echo and associated wake/meso low produced widespread
wind damage across SE TX Sunday afternoon and evening. Striaght line
winds of 70mph were common across most of Fort Bend, S Harris,
Brazoria, and Galveston counties. Apex of the bow moved from near
Wallis in S Austin CO. to Pearland and then toward Texas City.
Wake/meso low was clearly noted at 700pm with pressure differences
from 30.02in at Port Arthur to 29.76in at NWS in League City. Strong
ENE winds of 35-45mph developed over the area within this gradient
after the passage of the MCS and bow echo.
For those that were wanting rain, BUSH IAH recorded 2.34 inches
breaking a daily rainfall record of 1.73 in. This rainfall is also
double the entire month of April's rainfall and is the single greatest
amount of rainfall at IAH since Nov 22nd 2004.
